Number 8 turquoise originates from the historic Number 8 mine in Eureka County, Nevada

Discovered in 1925 and first mined in 1929 as a copper and gold byproduct, the mine is no longer active for turquoise.

Because the site has been overtaken by large-scale gold mining, supplies are strictly finite and highly collectible.
